Bees

Why do I have Bees?

Entry Points / shelter

Bees are drawn to warm, sheltered spaces, wall cavities, attics, and chimneys provide ideal shelter from the elements.

If they're entering your home consistently, take a good look around checking for large and small holes they might be entering outside from.

Try this: If you're not seeing anything on the outside, put your hand or ears against the wall. You might hear or feel the vibration of the bees. If able it's also a good idea to check the roof for any bee activity.

nearby hive or nest

If there’s a hive nearby, bees might come into your home by mistake or in search of food and water. Bees in walls, attics, or roofs may indicate that a colony has established itself on or near the structure.

The most common spots to find bee hives are trees, chimneys, roofs, sheds, bushes and enclosed spaces.

Try this: If you're not seeing anything on the inside, take a look outside on any possible spots for a hive.
It could also come from a neighbors home and informing them of the issue is important for anyone who might be allergic.

Temporary swarm

A bee swarm occurs when a colony splits, and a group of bees, along with a new queen, leave the original hive to find a new home.

During this time, hundreds or even thousands of bees can cluster together, often on trees, buildings, or other structures.

Bee swarms near homes or high-traffic areas can cause concern and may require safe relocation by pest control professionals,

Try This: Bee swarms are often only temporary. If no one is allergic and the bees aren't a nuisance give it 24 hours before calling a professional. After 24 it's very likely that they have decided to build their hive there.
